Funnily enough the easiest material to 3D print is actually Nivea moisturising cream and nutella. They both haave the perfect consistency (or what we call viscosity) to 3D print any object. Obviously we don’t use it as it is too soft to implant and the body would reject it. But we have 3D printed chocolate octopuses! For what we do the easiest material we print is a plastic called Polycaprolactone (PCL) which when implanted in the body will slowly break down to leave room for the new bone tissue.
