Bone is constantly changing itself to accommodate for every day activity. There are cells in your bone (like pacman) called osteoclasts who eat away at the damaged bone to make room for new bone. Some times like with diseases like osteoporosis the osteoclasts think that the need to eat away at the bone when they shouldn’t and the bone tissue wears away and peoples bone become very brittle.
